How many times have you set out anxious , without prayer, on your own, only to have your ideas crushed and stomped upon ? How many times have tried to fix, manage and control your own desires and bring to life a image or a plan created by self ? How many times have you gone around and around in a vicious cycle of defeat ? Once , twice, maybe more times than you can count ! I know for my self that self will is sabotage and always ends in ruins. Standing tall , for a moment but withers away with the blowing of the winds and the storms of life .
Are you tired of trying to do things your way ? Do you want concrete , solid, achievements that last ?
Are you ready to turn your will and your ways over to a power greater than yourself ? Are you ready to trust others and believe that you where created to do all things, anything that you set your mind to , through the power of the Holy spirit can be achieved, and anything that you self will can and will in time crumble , because it was not built on a solid foundation !
When we do good deeds and good works, are we doing them for self fulfillment , or are we doing them for the Kingdom of God ? We all have experience with both if you are a born again Christian , You are a work in progress, even if your not, you are still a work in progress and God wants your heart. For those of us who have received the gift of Salvation, We are living under Grace and we have a God conscience with in us, we all have different levels of faith and we all are moved from Glory to Glory when we live in Christ Jesus . Once you had died to the flesh a comforter comes and lives in you , know longer can you go about living for your self, know longer can you go about trying to satisfy the desires of your flesh, you are being stripped and the old is dying daily , and some things died instantly. There are seven deadly sins that we all deal with daily.
wrath,
greed,
sloth,
pride,
lust,
envy, and
gluttony. They destroy man/women and at times they go unnoticed and cause great havoc on your relationships and your own personal walk with God. Learning about these and praying for removal will slowly reform your thinking and your actions. The bible tells us not to convent , not to hoard, not to get angry, not to be lazy, not to be prideful, not to over indulge, not to lust after things and people, not to envy the blessings of another. That is a lot of rebuilding and renewing . These road blocks to your blessings take time to conquer and demolish, however through prayer, and supplication, dedication, honesty and open-mindedness they slowly die off and are replaced with the fruits of the spirit.
Paul has been preaching about the call of God to freedom, and so he now spells it out: we are done with the demands of the law; now we are free to live in the Spirit and to be truly right with God. As free people, the Spirit gives us the characteristics of Jesus; we, too, can freely love in joy and peace. We can have patience along with kindness and faithfulness that can only come from the Father. We can reflect the goodness of God while being gentle in operating with self-control. For those who follow Him and live in the Spirit, these characteristics or fruits are a gift from God. As we grow in the faith, we find that we belong to God and can walk daily in the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23
22 The Holy Spirit produces a different kind of fruit: unconditional love, joy, peace, patience, kindheartedness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. You won’t find any law opposed to fruit like this.
Once you start walking in the fruits of the spirit and put on the whole armor of God , you have entered into a place that requires work, intense, work ! Prayer, commitment and you are willing to endure great pain for the kingdom, great persecution, and so many times you will have to cry out and ask God to show you the way, you will have sleepless nights because God wants to talk to you, in the silence of the night. He wants to show you the way. Are you answering the call ? I am !
For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. Matthew 23:12. Do you know that being humble requires restrains, and a bit harnessing your tounge and your actions. Resting in God until the time comes to praise him and give him all glory.
All those distractions, and annoyances , all the negative comments , all the mockery that you endure, is the "bug" the enemy, the evil one who comes to steal, kill and destroy. If allowed you will not prosper onto the plan that God has already laid at your feet. This is the time to dig into the word, pray without ceasing. This is the time to plant seeds, verbalize your faith, worship your God with all your heart, When God is about to place you on the mountain top, many obstacles can and will get in your way. The more obstacles your facing, the more adversity that strikes the greater his plan is for your life and the life of those around you. Every time you are about to spark a nation, the "bug " will try to stink you and infect you with doubt, Be so strong in the learn to be aware that the "bug" has no power and is under your feet. You have the victory, God will not send you where he will not lead and carry you, He does not leave you with out tools to destroy the bug, yet he has given you an arsenal of weapons to battle with, to come out strong and to march in an army with those who truly believe and walk in faith, not just those who use the Grace card as an excuse to sin and to bring self glory. The only Glory that should be sought is Glory to the King of Kings, and you are the vessel that he will use if you allow him to use you .
God will sustain you and you will come out of the fire untouched, Can't touch this , the bug is under our feet. Never believe its lies. They will be like flying darts being thrown at you , doubt and fear, shame and guilt, lack will try and keep you from what the Lord has for you . We all have work to do and we all have a deep purpose , when you walk in alignment to God's will for you life, expect trials and expect hate and expect those who love you to throw darts at you , and they may not even know that they are doing that. Love them anyway, forgive them anyway, continue to pray, because when you have the Holy spirit living in you , Truth reigns and nothing can change that. Learn to love others exactly where they are at, give, love and trust even if you get hurt, even if the dart hits you in the heart. Turn your pain over to God and pray for that person, pray for wisdom, Ask God to show them and you the truth in his power Grace and Mercy. Die to self daily and trust that the old man is gone and the new man is alive in Christ. Continue to pray and continue to Love . Love is the Key and the only answer to all things. forgiveness unlocks the door to love and love covers a multitude of sin.
My prayer : Dear God, you created the heavens and the earth , you created all things and all things are under your power , Lord I ask that as we move in your wisdom and truth that you strip away false pride , that you clean our hearts, that you teach us to love more, give more, trust more, and I pray that you make aware to us when the "bug " is trying to stink us and infect us with doubt, denial and that when our human flesh try's to fix , manage , and control situations, that you remind us you are not a situational God , but that you are a universal God powerful and all knowing, that you can say to a mountain move and it will move, created In your image, remind us that we have the same power to move mountains and to change lives. That we are sinners saved by grace and that no weapons formed against us shall prosper. Lord I pray that you work with in our hearts and convict us were we are failing you , that you forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and that ultimately you use us to develop your kingdom and to bring those who are lost, or confused to the light we have found in you . You are the hope of the future and you are the truth and the way. In your name father Thank you and through your loving Son Jesus who came and died and rose again so we , so unworthy can have a abundant life, filled with Grace, Joy and Mercy. Let us , let me speak truth onto the nations and let me let us, fulfill your plan as you lay it out remaining obedient , " no matter what the world and those in the world say or do, thy will on earth be done. Amen !
